In December 2012 Canon released the Satera LBP-7100 and LBP-7110 printers across Asia-Pacific (including Japan). These color laser printers had an OEM-rated print speed of 14 pages per minute (ppm) in both color and black-and-white, and duty cycles of 30,000 pages per month.

i-SENSYS sub-branded models of these two printers were introduced in Europe in April 2013, along with two MFP versions, the MF8230 and MF8280. The imageCLASS MF8280 MFP was released in May 2013 in North America. Other sub-branded models were also introduced, with all models having the same print speeds and duty cycles.

Replacement black cartridges are available in 1,400 page standard yield and 2,400 page high yield options. Color cartridges are available only in a 1,500 page standard yield version. All toner cartridges require chips for the printers to function correctly.
